First Day of School

We are now into our second week of school!! And these pictures were our first day of school pictures. It's only taken me over a week to get them up. If you could see my house right now you would understand. Ugh. Boxes has become an evil word around here, and getting used to these school routines is taking me some time as well. Caleb is from 7-2 and the girls are from 9-4. Yuck. But the silver lining is that I get to hang with Caleb in the morning before the girls are up and then for over an hour before the girls get home. And....I get to hang with the girls for an extra hour in the morning before we head to school.

Everyone is adjusting well. In their own ways they are grappling with new schools and new friends and new teachers, but overall I'd say we are running at 85%. I think I will always have one little girl that just doesn't love school. At all. And we are doing our best to keep spirits and morale high. It's hard going from being home with me to being at school ALLLLLL day long. She is loving having a locker, getting to ride the bus home with her friend in the neighborhood, and getting to switch classes throughout the day....so that is what we are focusing on.  And can I add how awesome it is to have a bus that deposits both girls in my driveway everyday!! Goodbye carline in the afternoon! Caleb is loving jr. high which I'm a little shocked by because I am not. Nothing about him being there seems right to me right now. But that is a whole different therapy session. How do we have a 6th grader?! I would give anything to go back to Mrs. T in kindergarten at this point. And Madeline is having a ball. As I knew she would. Has her own little posse of friends and is already requesting friends to come over for a pool party. My little social butterfly. And I'm making friends with all my boxes. We are a team. And Jack. My loyal companion is chillin' with me all day.
