Gators

Gator bait.

Sweet Asian man in the picture got stuck in our boat...although I think the kids entertained him more than the tour. ;)

We have lived in Louisiana twice. Once for a year and this last time for 2 years. We've talked about doing airboat tours many times but have never done it. Since we are moving in a few weeks we decided there is no time like the present and went on one yesterday. And, I am now kicking myself for not doing it sooner. We had so much fun! Kids loved it (especially my alligator obsessed middle child), and I managed to relax after I realized we were in fact actually going to skim the top of the water and I didn't have to worry about all 3 of my children being propelled into the swamp where I would then have to choose which child to save first as alligators surrounded us. The weather was perfect, the guide was perfect, the kids behaved perfectly, and we didn't get eaten by alligators. Highly recommend to anyone coming to Louisiana anytime soon.....and I know there are many of you. ;)
