Ho Ho Ho

Christmas has come and gone...and we are picking up the pieces ever so slowly. Had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa and some friends that live close by. It was kind of nice to just stay home and wake-up in our own beds. Who knows what next year will hold, so we're thankful for the chance to do it this year. Memories of JuJu Fruits, Hot Tamales, Steak n' Shake, trips to New Orleans, movies at the theater, monopoly, and lots of cooking in the kitchen will stick with us. Oh, and Grandma and Grandpa's flight was cancelled after they got to the airport. Lovely. But....they got to take a pit stop in the Chicago airport and pick up some Garrett's. That's what I call a win-win.

The weather has been not at all what we are used to, but trying to embrace the warmness and go with it. So odd to wear short sleeves and shorts and go for a run at the end of December. We are trying to get the house back to normal this weekend and taking down all the fun, festive things that are all over it. So much more fun putting up than taking down! Daddy got me (us!) an iMac and I'm trying to figure it all out. It is so odd to go from a PC to a Mac. Big learning curve needed for this girl. But....they have photo booth and all kinds of fun photo options the kids and I have been playing with. It's like getting into those small, overpriced photo booths you used to do when you were teenagers except it's in the comfort of our house, and FREE! So fun. Hope everyone enjoys this last weekend before 2012. Can't believe 2011 is already over!
