It's Still Raining.....

It's been raining for over a week straight. I mean Seattle type rain without much sun. Except we still have 200% humidity, so really not at all like Seattle. I wish I was in Seattle right now.

So to pass the time.....we bake! And then we give away so we don't get diabetes by the time it stops raining. Today we tried purple cupcakes. It was the highlight of the day. That and spaghetti tacos for lunch. It was a weak moment on my part, and the kids keep begging for them. Basically it's carbs on top of carbs, and then add some more carbs. Not one vegetable was eaten. Unless you count the vegetable shortening in the frosting of the cookies. ;) We did have strawberries though...so it wasn't a total waste.

Tomorrow if it's still raining, we are going to make cinnamon rolls from scratch. I've never made the kind where you add the yeast and watch it rise, and knead it, and watch it rise some more. It all sounds rather labor intensive, but I've always wanted to give it a shot. Daddy's work is going to get these though. The neighbors are starting to not answer their doors......
