There is nothing like doing golf camp, in Louisiana, in the summer, when it's 200% humidity. It's fun times for everyone. :) They wanted to do it. Really. I guess it pays to be young, because you couldn't get me on the golf course at this time of day. They both have really gotten so good at their golf games. I guess it helps that we live on a golf course and can sneak in a few holes whenever we want, but like any parent knows, you can't force a child to play a sport....they have to want to do it. And thankfully, they both are loving it right now.
I don't know why it makes me so happy to see them holding golf clubs. I think most of it has to do with me being coached by my dad to golf at a fairly young age. All I really wanted to do was drive the golf cart, which he let me do....if I would golf a few holes with him. And then there was the Snicker bars at the club house when we stopped for a break after 9 holes. Let's face it, it's all about the food at that age. Such fun memories, and one's I hold near and dear as I get older. I love that they will have memories of golfing with Drew, him letting them drive the golf cart, getting Gatorade and Milky Way bars from the club house, and sweating it out in this crazy heat.
