Great Book

Highly recommend this book to all my running friends, or those that have been wanting to start for awhile and aren't sure where to begin. I have been a loyal subscriber to Runner's World for years and years. And, I read about these two ladies in the magazine a few years ago when they trained for and ran the Nike Women's Marathon in California. They documented the good, the bad, and the ugly of training for a marathon while still being mom and wife. Anyone who has run a marathon knows exactly what I'm talking about. It can get a little batty. Fast forward to 2010 and they took their advice on everything from how to train your brain to conquer a run to what gadgets and gizmos are really worth the money. But, the best part is it is geared towards any mom/woman who enjoys being active, and you don't have to be running marathons to read it. I follow their blog as well, (on the right side of the blog - Run Like A Mother) and love it. Dimity is hilarious! A good mindless, summer read to enjoy while hanging by the pool. Although I haven't been running much this year, I am planning and scheming my next race to do when I'm feeling better. Somewhere pretty, and different than anything I've done before. May involve biking, maybe not. I just want to do something that tells myself "we are back on track", and I want to be surrounded by mountains, or an ocean. The wheels are turning.....
