I am one blessed mommy. Yep. God has entrusted three little people into our lives, and I never could have dreamed how much our lives would change. Gives you a whole new reason to live and love. Things you once thought were important take a backburner....sometimes for 9 years. And, man do they grow fast! This picture seems like yesterday, and it was almost 3 years ago (Caleb is not mad..it's his "cool" look with shades on)! What a journey this life has been so far. Even with the good and bad, I have been stretched in ways I never imagined and learned so much about myself and what I am made of. I have learned that I love these three fiercely, and if anyone trys to say one mean thing to them, look out! I have learned I love being where they are, even if that means spending way too much time at their school. I have learned that it's ok to throw away rotten bananas, really it is, and not have guilt when they aren't turned into fresh baked banana bread or muffins. I have learned they don't care if a meal takes 5 minutes or 5 hours, as long as we are eating as a family. I have learned to not make everything a battle. I have learned that sometimes milkshakes after school are exactly what the doctor ordered, take-out pizza is a must on Fridays, and jello for breakfast will not kill them. I could go on and on about what being a mom has taught me. This is the most important thing I will do in my life. Drew and I have an awesome responsibility placed before us, and with God's help (and lots of prayer!!), they will turn into wonderful, amazing people who will do something fulfilling with their lives....and learn that life is not easy, but it's how you handle what comes your way that makes you who you are.
