I've been tagged, so in keeping with the "pass it on" spirit...here are my 22 Things My Children Have Taught Me:
1. Cookie dough should always be tested for quality control.
2. Decorative band-aids always help things heal quicker.
3. Bubbles will always be cool.
4. Invite only as many people to your party as you want to write thank you notes for.
5. Don't say yes when you mean no.
6. Buy bendy straws in bulk.
7. Doing absolutely nothing is absolutely something.
8. A child will like a toy from the dollar store as much as a toy from an expensive store. And the dollar store toy is way easier to get rid of.
9. Play in the snow, dance in the rain, and relax in the sun.
10. Singing in the shower is required when trying to get clean.
11. Sprinkles can make anything taste better.
12. There is no such thing as too much syrup.
13. Clean windows and mirrors attract small hands.
14. Buy stickers and USE them.
15. Eating off the floor won't kill you.
16. Ignore the dirty laundry, it will always there/as will all the clothes to fold and put away.
17. Go on dates with your children individually and you will be surprised at what they tell you.
18. Reading is fun no matter where you are.
19. Turn off the TV.
20. Mommy and Daddy have to be a united front...at all times!
21. Crayons, markers, paper, colored pencils, scissors, glue, and play dooh should be as accessible as your silverware.
22. Never say, "When I have kids I'll never....." unless you like crow.
If you just read this consider yourself tagged as well. :) If you are game, think about your 22 and post your list on your blog, e-mail, or just write it down somewhere for yourself. I can guarantee that you will find it interesting to read the next time you come across it.
