Had a super duper day yesterday! Thank you for all the fun phone calls and e-mails. Started the day with LOTS of handmade cards from Grace. She is so sweet, and loves to make cards for people. Spent the day doing stuff for ME, and didn't even feel guilty for a second. Picked up the kids, went through the homework, dinner, make lunches for tomorrow routine, and got ready for Kristen to come over. Drew came home with these before we went out for dinner. SO pretty! And off we went to find me a new phone. Wasn't as painful as we thought it was going to be. :)After that we went to dinner at a yummy restaurant and just hung out, and sat, and didn't feel rushed. Talked, and talked, and laughed at our waiter and at my caesar salad that tasted like Miracle Whip. And we had a great time! And then about 3 minutes from home we got a call...that we didn't hear. As we pulled in we realized Maddie's light was on, and it was 9:30. Went upstaris to find poor Kristen assisting Maddie as she threw up. Yep! Talk about babysitter of the year. And so the last of the family has fallen victim to the stomach flu, and I pray we are done. The rest of the night was as you can imaine, and it wasn't so pretty. Once a momma always a momma...doesn't matter if a birthday calls or anything else. And you know what, I am 100% ok with that. Today she is feeling much better and we are getting back to life as usual once again.Thursday, January 14, 2010
