"Angels Watching Over Me"

My first memory of this song is of Drew's mom. We were living with them in Texas for a few months when Grace was about 4 weeks old. She was a SUPER fusy baby at night. And I have such fun memories of Drew's mom rocking her in their old rocking chair and singing "All day..all night..angels watching over me my Lord.." She would sing and sing as Grace would cry and cry. We tried anything you could imagine to make that little girl stop crying. But it had to be in Grace's time and when she would tire herself out, she would fall asleep. 6 years later...not much has changed. :) Drew's mom sang that song to all my kids when they were babies and all three of my children love that song. Tonight as I was putting Maddie to bed..she asked me to sing "Grandma's Song" as they call it. So I did my best to sing it...and after one verse she turned to me and said.."Maybe you can hum it momma." So I finished the song and hummed it. Doesn't sound quite the same coming from me I guess.....and I can't say I blame her. :)
