Chicago

We had the best time in Chicago! Was so nice to get away for a few days and act like we live in a city without having to take care of little one's for a few days. We missed the kids like crazy, but we had fun just being spontaneous and not planning e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g. We ate at more restaurants downtown than one person should. Really. From deep dish pizza to Portillo's to amazing seafood and steak.....I think we covered it all. Dined with friends and sometimes alone. It was so fun. It will take me a few weeks to catch-up on my sleep, but so worth it.

And the real reason we went was for a friend's (JB's!) wedding, which was amazing and beautiful. Danced the night away and laughed with friends. Something we both needed. With moving as much as we do, it is always fun to reconnect with old friends. Friends that can be apart for a year or two and come back together and have a great time. A great weekend. Thank you grandma and grandpa for taking such great care of our offspring. :) They had a great time and the house seemed rather empty today after we got home from the airport.
