Tennis

This fuzzy little yellow ball has taken over my life. I resisted for a long time. Running around in a skirt chasing a ball sounded like the last thing on earth I'd like to do. It is the sport to play when you live down south. Men play golf year round, and women play tennis. Didn't appeal to me for a really long time because I had no time to even consider it. Our current neighborhood has tennis courts...that I can see from my front yard if I stand in the right spot. ;) We have a tennis pro who lives in our neighborhood and teaches lots of classes all week long, and about 5 months ago he convinced me to come and just "try" the beginners class with one of my neighbors. Well, if you know me I can never just "try" anything. I have to attempt it and then push myself to excel at it even if my laundry suffers, housework suffers, this blog suffers, and my running suffers. And then once I become decent at it, I have to push myself harder. I have now fallen head over heels for this crazy game. Literally. Joined the USTA and the tennis team......I even own 4 tennis skirts. If you know me you know that is crazy because I NEVER wear skirts. Not even to church. 4 years at Liberty University cured me of that. So if you need me leave a message, I'm most likely killing myself to chase a crazy yellow ball all over the tennis court. And it totally makes my day......
