Cake Pops

I was on treat duty today for Maddie's class party, so we made some heart shaped cake pops yesterday! I have had a slight obsession with the whole Cake Pop thing since it began a few months ago. And, I haven't exactly had the best luck with them. My cake balls would never stay on the stick when I'd dip them in chocolate!! The chocolate would get too hard, cake balls would fall apart, it was a mess. And, I tried it lots of times. So I made these with brownie mix, and it worked like a dream. Highly recommend.

We have lots to do today with 3 class parties. Yikes. Thankfully I only had to do snack for Maddie's class. Actually planned ahead this time. I am limping around after the half marathon I ran yesterday, and this is about all I had in me. I plan on walking to her class and sitting the rest of the time. Momma is not moving much today.

We have a special Valentine dinner for the kids planned for tonight. I love Valentine's Day from their perspective. Personally I think it's a little to Hallmarkish for me, but they get so excited to do Valentine's for their friends, and make special treats. So fun. And I know in a few short years, they will not be into it as much, so I plan on making it pretty fun until then. Soon enough it will just be Drew and I eating Cake Pops all alone...... :)
