I decided to make some goodies to take to the teachers at school for breast cancer awareness. It was my first attempt at making little pink chocolates, and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. These little nuggets of goodness are called "cake balls" and they are my current obsession, along with "cake pops" from this book. I love this book. And the owl pops...bestill my heart.
So, my little pink cake balls were made and delivered for those closest to my heart. Those that teach my children how to fight an uphill battle like breast cancer with dignity and grace. Those that love on my children and teach them to love the Lord. Those that you call when life is sometimes more than you can handle, and you know they have walked in those shoes as well. Those that hold big ol' spots in our hearts, and that we are so very thankful are still here on this earth. Those that let your children put on her wigs as she is going through chemo, and we all double over in laughter. We love you Grandma Ward. How blessed are we to have you in our lives!!
I love this picture....she doesn't very much. :) One tough lady....and how perfectly shaped is that head?! Love you "granny".
