The Swing

In all our moves, we have usually had some kind of playground system for the kids to play around on. This is the first move we left it behind in hopes the kids wouldn't miss it too much (the thought of putting that together again made Drew a little crazy). But, we did bring the disc swing with us to tie to this amazing oak tree in our backyard. It is so cool! That one tree shades almost our whole back yard. That is one big tree. It is old...very old, with lots of character and stories to tell I'm sure. So daddy jimmied up the tree about a month ago to work on a way to tie a swing to it. The kids have been on it every moment since. As soon as they get home from school, it's out to the swing and they push each other for an hour at least. On the weekends that thing gets a workout as neighborhood kids make their way into our backyard. So fun. Love to see the smiles plastered on the kids faces. Smiles are the best.
