Road Trip

I had the perfect post already planned in my head to recap our fun weekend in Dallas. Had perfect pictures already planned to post, and then our camera went missing before we left on Monday. Grrrrr. Hate it when your camera hides from you. Especially when that camera's memory card has almost 1,000 pictures of the last 9-months of life. Lesson to all of you out there....empty your memory card just in case your camera goes missing.

Other than that, we had a wonderful time. Kids loved seeing most of the Ward clan, especially cousin Winston, who is just about the cutest thing ever! When my camera is found, I have some super, cute pictures of him to post all over this blog. :) He is growing so fast, and it is so fun to interact with him. The girls followed him all over Grandma's house, and he loved it. He loved Jack, and Jack loved licking him. Poppa helped Caleb work on his paper for Social Studies, and the girls loved following Grandma all over the house. Which she loved. ;) It was a great weekend. Nice to get away from Louisiana and the humidity. Drew and I even got to sneak away for a night to Fort Worth. Seems to be the place we go to for our anniversary.....Yee-haw! :) You go where you can when Grandma and Poppa agree to watch the little sprouts. A whole dinner with conversation, and no interruptions. Does it get any better than that?

So we are back, and getting into the swing of things again. Why is it I always thought I would have all this free time once ALL my kids were in school, and I am 10X more busy than when they were all home. I guess I do get alone time in the car.......that counts right? XM Radio is wonderful. :)
