Well, we are officially the parents of an "almost" first grader. Madeline has graduated! So cute. It's one of those things where you think it's kind of over the top to do a cap/gown thing until it's your child standing up there. There aren't many times in life you can put one of those on anyway, so I say why not?! She loved getting to wear it, and loved moving her tassel from left to right even more. It was a wonderful evening celebrating Maddie, and I don't think she stopped smiling all day long. She had a few cards and treats from family, and then we got her a necklace to wear, which she loved. Topped the night off with $1 scoops at Baskin-Robbins, and it was a success. Love this little girl. She was our "surprise" child that took me almost 9 months to mentally prepare for. And yet, when they placed her in my arms I knew she was exactly what we needed. She has completed this family in so many ways. So although she was a GIANT surprise to us, God knew exactly what he was doing when he gave us her.
Mom of three super fun and super cool children (Caleb, Grace, Madeline) and wife to one super cool dude - Andrew. Just living life and trying to do the best we can to mold these little sprouts into who God designed them to be. And trying to be "IN" the moments with them rather than looking back and wishing we had spent more time together as a family. And...to be content. Content with where I am in life as a wife and mom. Content with the circumstances God brings into our lives. Life moves by at warp speed, and I want to be present for it. (Jer. 29:11)
