Today was "Scholastic reader" day at the kid's school. I don't know who was more excited...me or them! I can remember getting those readers when I was in school and the thrill and excitment that came with them. The smell of the new paper with picture after picture of ALL the books to choose from. And the race home to flip through each page ever so slowly. I love to read. Don't get to do it as much as I would like these days, but it is something that was instilled in me at a young age by my dad and I am SO thankful for that. I want to instill that love of reading in my children as well. So, we poured over the reader together and everyone got to pick a few books. We will spend lots of time reading this summer and lots of time at Barnes and Noble. Don't even get me started on my L-O-V-E for that place!!!
Mom of three super fun and super cool children (Caleb, Grace, Madeline) and wife to one super cool dude - Andrew. Just living life and trying to do the best we can to mold these little sprouts into who God designed them to be. And trying to be "IN" the moments with them rather than looking back and wishing we had spent more time together as a family. And...to be content. Content with where I am in life as a wife and mom. Content with the circumstances God brings into our lives. Life moves by at warp speed, and I want to be present for it. (Jer. 29:11)
