Pearl Harbor
So proud of this little man. He worked really hard on this project. Really hard. With a little help from mommy and daddy too. ;) We all learned a lot about Pearl Harbor and I'm proud to say if anyone asked me a question about why we went to war...I could hold my own. Awww yeah. Yesterday was the big Social Studies Fair at school. We got there early and set up his table and did a quick little run through of his abstract and what judges might ask him, said a little prayer, and I left. And from 8:30-12 I said about 5 more prayers for him. He knew his stuff, but sometimes it's a little hard to let it all out when judges are starring at you making you feel uncomfortable. I went back to school at 2:15 to walk through the fair with Grace and see Caleb. He was SO excited. Instantly made my heart smile. I knew he was confident in how he did. Good or bad, he felt he did well and I am totally good with that. We walked to the car with a skip in both our steps. Both of us glad it is done. Both of us glad he has gained some confidence. And both of us glad our model ship of the USS Arizona made it through the day. Hallelujah! Love this boy so very much. Even though there are somedays I swear he is from another planet as we hit the preteen years...I am beyond blessed to be able to say he is ours.
