Snickers Cupcakes
I offered up my baking services for Caleb's teacher, Mrs. Vignes, who was having a birthday party at school. Plus it never hurts to offer sweets up at school...let's be honest here. ;) And we love Mrs. Vignes. Her favorite candy is Snickers, so I decided to ask good ol' Pinterest for some recipes I could try. Found this one, and it was awesome. I have never made Snickers cupcakes before, so it was fun to add that to my list of "tried" cupcakes. It has a miniature snicker in the cupcake and caramel buttercream frosting on top....how can that not be good?! And since her favorite cookies are chocolate chip, I again asked Pinterest and found this one...which all my family and neighbors devoured before I could plate them. Make a double batch of these if you try it. You won't be sorry. I made double thinking I would freeze the leftover dough, but that clearly didn't happen. They were loved by all. I think these may just be my new "go to" recipe for chocolate chip cookies. And last but certainly not least.....mummy pops. The easiest one to make by a landslide, and the biggest hit of the day. Lesson learned. ;) Lots of blogs posting these without a recipe per say. It's basically double stuff oreos, sticks, white chocolate, and black M&M's. Put the stick in the oreo, dip it in the melted chocolate and lay it flat on wax paper. Place the eyes while chocolate is wet. Then when dry, melt some more white chocolate and place in pastry bag with tip or plastic baggie. If using plastic baggie snip off the end and go crazy with mummy strips all across the cookie. Will for sure be making these again.
