Ready and waiting.....and sweating.
Mardi Gras floats....even for the 4th of July. Playing some jazz, and throwing beads. Love it.
These are the faces of 2 parents that are beyond hot.....and holding on by a thread. Really. :-)
Did someone say B-E-A-D-S?!?!
We survived our 4-day weekend. Always fun to have daddy around for some extra days. And, we scheduled lots of "projects" to accomplish. As I type daddy is currently asleep in Caleb's bed. We sufficiently tired him out......poor daddy. We got LOTS of painting done. And we have both come to the conclusion we loathe painting. Really. Why does it seem fun the first 15 minutes and then feels a little bit like torture the next 2 hours. And we do this to ourselves every 2 years....when we move.....again. Next time we pinky swore today that we will be paying someone to do the painting for us. For the first time. And it will be worth every single penny.
We had fun at our little town parade, saw the governor, and aquired LOTS of beads. I love that in Louisiana you get beads for every occasion. Any reason to throw some beads, and they do. I just got rid of the one's from Mardi Gras, and now I have more beads again then I know what to do with. Went to a backyard BBQ which meant I had someone to bake cupcakes for. Love that. Watched fireworks from the back of daddy's truck.....totally felt like "southern folk", and it was awesome. Embracing us some country folk ways down here in ol' Louisiana. Even drank some lemonade out of mason jars. Yeehaw!
