Crawfish Boil/Easter

1st Annual Crawfish Boil - Yum!
We had our first ever crawfish boil at Grandma and Grandpa's house. It was so fun. Totally new experience for the kids and I. Daddy is an old pro, as is ALL his family. I showed up in white capri pants if that tells you anything about my lack of experience. Yes. I didn't know they pour it all out on a table (no plates, no silverware, but LOTS of paper towels) and you chow down. I was on paper towel patrol, because I felt everyone might need them at a moments notice. I was on it. I have to admit I am not a huge fan of popping, sucking, and pulling my seafood out of shells but when in Rome.......and I got used to it rather fast. My little pile of 6 crawfish was nothing compared to the mounds of shells the men created. Crazy.
Spraying the crawfish to keep them alive....until we put them in a boiling pot of water. ;)

One of the few pictures we actually took on Easter.

Easter was just as I thought it would be. Except for the last minute fits thrown by my youngest child over my lack of leggings to go with her cute new dress, some readjusting the schedule, and thanking Grandma for coming though with that dress she got her for this summer that we wore on Easter. And the flower headband even matched it. It was then I decided from this point on, the girls pick out their dresses, and I dress my ever accommidating boy however I want.

It was a relaxing day spent with family just hanging out. Reading. Watching movies. Sleeping....well those with testosterone slept, those with estrogen read and cleaned the kitchen. ;) Church service was wonderful, and spent most of the day being reminded of just how blessed we are. And how undeserving we are of it. Makes the price that was paid that much more incredible.
