Oh man. I seriously can't look at that picture without cracking up. So last night daddy decided we would do a "hibachi" dinner for my birthday, just like our favorite restaurant in town. I had zero part in it, as you can tell. ;) He came home from work early and started chopping and cutting. Then he disappeared into our room and came out as a hibachi chef, complete with a mustache. The kids loved it! He talked in japenese all night and even gave a show of banging the spatulas against the grill and making all kind of noise. It was too cute. Love that he can be silly and have fun and let go. The dinner was awesome and was a total hit with the kids. So needless to say, he has started a new tradition whether he likes it or not. It was a fun day. Loved getting to chat with some friends I don't talk with too often, and of course family too. Kids tried to be extra nice to mommy. Tried to not fight. Tried........
Mom of three super fun and super cool children (Caleb, Grace, Madeline) and wife to one super cool dude - Andrew. Just living life and trying to do the best we can to mold these little sprouts into who God designed them to be. And trying to be "IN" the moments with them rather than looking back and wishing we had spent more time together as a family. And...to be content. Content with where I am in life as a wife and mom. Content with the circumstances God brings into our lives. Life moves by at warp speed, and I want to be present for it. (Jer. 29:11)
