Well...we made it. Barely. Hallelujah is all I have to say. SOOO much has happened before our internet was shut off a week early and I lost all contact with the outside world. That, my friends, stunk...really bad. But, alas we have been reconnected as of today and I can now fill everyone in on all the stuff they have missed. I know everyone is dying to hear. So in between then and now we have lost 2 teeth (Madeline - first one's!!), said goodbye to friends in IN, watched a team of packers decend upon our house and pack it up, drove 800 miles to our new home, watched a team of people decend upon the truck that owned everything we had to unload it, attempted to unpack those boxes, acclimated ourselves to temperatures that are just not human and I secretly fear could melt one of my fair-skinned freckle face children, started golf camp, visited an alligator ranch (HUGE highlight for my alligator obsessed middle child), and as I type I am surrounded by boxes which means my attempt to unpack everything is going a little slower than usual. Not sure why. Could be it's our 7th move and frankly my zeal to unpack is long gone, could be the melt your face weather that is currently around us, not sure. But, life must go on and I'm trying to enjoy our summer and not dread all the boxes. So, we do a few here and there and I know they will eventually all get unpacked. May take until December, who knows. I am trying to do things that the kids are familiar with and love. So we are swimming at the clubhouse a lot, today I baked banana bread, and made my first "from scratch" meal. Meaning it didn't come from the freezer section at the grocery store. Kind of longing for making something from the outer perimeters of the store that involves FRESH ingredients. So we had shrimp/sausage/corn chowder and it was delicious!! Definately feels and smells more like a home with the smells of stuff baking and cooking. We are here. Ready or h-o-t......thanks for all the prayers. Keep them coming!!
