Found this cute idea before we moved, and today we are going to make them. They are called hot rocks, and we certainly have enough of those around here!! :) Have your children find some rocks outside. Smooth and flat one's work best. Heat them in the oven at 350 for 15 minutes. Put the rocks on some newspaper (we did it outside), and give them some crayons with the paper peeled off. Crayons melt as they touch the rocks...and voila! A super-cute rock with all kinds of fun colors. Excellent way to use up all those crayons that seem to aquire at warp speed.
