Well..we've had quite the last few days with sick kids. Caleb stayed home on Thursday with a fever and cold and then Grace came home sick on Thursday with the same. I spent the day baking heart shaped cupcakes like crazy because I was originally supposed to go to each of their classes on Friday and decorate them with the class. There is nothing worse when you are 6 and 8 then to realize you have to MISS your Valentine Party at class and be home sick. So..we took the cupcakes to school and delivered them with all the Valentine's we made, and then we came home. We did go back to pick-up all their Valentine's which was fun for them. So today Drew and I had planned a "date-night" and I really thought we would be able to do it since the kids seemed to be feeling better. Then Grace came in our room around 4:00am with a super high fever. So..plan B is now in effect. Caleb and Daddy are at the store as I type this shopping for the makings of a super-fun and fancy dinner that we will be eating at home. Not quite the evening I envisoned a week ago, but it is all good and who knows maybe we have started a new tradition where we dress-up all fancy and eat at home. I didn't really want to wear heels anyway! ;)
Mom of three super fun and super cool children (Caleb, Grace, Madeline) and wife to one super cool dude - Andrew. Just living life and trying to do the best we can to mold these little sprouts into who God designed them to be. And trying to be "IN" the moments with them rather than looking back and wishing we had spent more time together as a family. And...to be content. Content with where I am in life as a wife and mom. Content with the circumstances God brings into our lives. Life moves by at warp speed, and I want to be present for it. (Jer. 29:11)
