We have a few restaurants we have either been to together or with friends, and Arnaud's is one of those for myself and my mom and John. They went last time they were here and love it, so we took daddy there last night and had a great time. Best place to sit is in the jazz lounge and they have a band that sounds just like something you would hear in New Orleans. So fun! They even come around to each table and take requests. Drew wanted Guns N' Roses, but they couldn't work that one out, so they played John's request instead. ;)We had a great meal, laughed a lot, and enjoyed each other's company. I call that a successful evening. The kids and I are going back to New Orleans today to pick-up Grandma and Grandpa John (eat some more yummy food) and head back to our house. Let the games begin.....lots to do between now and Sunday. Hoping my "no stress" approach stays in place the next 4 days. Seems to be wavering a tad.
Mom of three super fun and super cool children (Caleb, Grace, Madeline) and wife to one super cool dude - Andrew. Just living life and trying to do the best we can to mold these little sprouts into who God designed them to be. And trying to be "IN" the moments with them rather than looking back and wishing we had spent more time together as a family. And...to be content. Content with where I am in life as a wife and mom. Content with the circumstances God brings into our lives. Life moves by at warp speed, and I want to be present for it. (Jer. 29:11)
