Salt Water

We cruised the beach a lot while in Florida, and I have to say after not seeing the Atlantic Ocean for many, many years, it was kind of nice. We spent some time at Cocoa Beach and hit The Kennedy Space Center. I think for me the beach was wonderful because the kids could just run and run....and run. They got to play in the ocean and dig in the sand. Definately could see a beach vacation in our future. Drew is a beach man. He grew up in Florida and loves the ocean. I mean loves the ocean. He could have slept on the beach and been happy. :) So it was fun for the kids to see the ocean through daddy's eyes and hear stories of how he used to snorkel way out in the ocean, and surf, and then go to random ponds and try to catch alligators. Really safe adventures like that. Fun times. And mommy would have done none of the above thank you. I love the mountains, he loves the ocean...so someday we will have to compromise on where we retire. He feels about the ocean what I feel when I drive in the mountains. Nothing better on this earth in my opinion. Build me a cabin in the mountains with giant fireplace, a ski resort within 20 miles, and momma is a happy girl.

We are already scheming a way to get back to the beach this summer. One benefit to living where we do is that the road trip would not be too bad at all. We shall see. But, there will be no snorkeling way out in the ocean while mommy is there. Jaws is all I have to say. Jaws.
