Found this today. And decided it needs to go somewhere in my "space". The space I cover in a day. Maybe in the laundry room? Kitchen? Found the print at Advice To Sink In Slowly. Obviously this can mean different things to many people. But for me, and my new "Just Say No", campaign it means the routine that may have worked for me 2 years ago isn't working now. Over stretching myself is not good for me or my family, and neither are unhealthy expectations. It's ok if I don't get my run in before 10:00. It's ok if I don't shower until 6:00 at night. All 5 beds do not have to be made everyday to my specifications. The laundry can sit. Going for a walk with Jack is necessary. To do lists stink, and only make me crazy. And every single piece of Christmas decoration does not have to make an appearance every year.
So there you have it. :) I am starting my new goals for 2011 a little early. But why do we have to wait until January 1st to change something that needs to be changed today? What about you? What are your goals for 2011? What unhealthy expectations are you beating yourself up with today? And who is not getting 100% of you while trying to fulfill those expectations?
