Yesterday I got to spend most of the day with this little girl. Loved it! I volunteered to be the "library helper" for her class this year, which means every Tuesday I get to eat lunch with her and then go with her class to library and help check-out books. We had the best time browsing through books and deciding which would be the perfect book to read at home. She is a "Junie B. Jones" kind of girl, so we went with that.
I love, love to read. For the first time in almost 10 years....I am reading. Yes, reading. Books that have NOTHING to do with parenting, disciplining, growing, and not messing up your children. And it is mindless, and fun, and relaxing, and I'm loving it. Thursday I get to go with M and C to the library, and I can't wait. I so badly want all 3 kids to develop a love for reading on their own. Not in a forced, you must read for 20 minutes kind of way. So this year I am the "library mom" for all 3 kids, and it is going to be fun. Love to see who their little friends are, and spy on the one's who are mean. ;) Mama bear is in the house mean little people, so look out!! I mean that in the nicest way possible of course......sort of. :)
Mom of three super fun and super cool children (Caleb, Grace, Madeline) and wife to one super cool dude - Andrew. Just living life and trying to do the best we can to mold these little sprouts into who God designed them to be. And trying to be "IN" the moments with them rather than looking back and wishing we had spent more time together as a family. And...to be content. Content with where I am in life as a wife and mom. Content with the circumstances God brings into our lives. Life moves by at warp speed, and I want to be present for it. (Jer. 29:11)
