My crazy girls....enjoying some crazy hot summer days. We are navigating our way around this weather and learning to find joy in weather that is not very joyful. :) Sometimes it takes the energy of children to snap us out of our funks. To them everyday is a chance to have fun, and dance, and sing, and find joy in the things we adults have forgotten about. So today I am reminded of little things like pulling a pretzel out of a bag and it being a crazy-goofy shape, going to Sonic for "happy hour" slushes, singing to a silly song turned up WAY too loud, going to the pool even though it is cloudy and looks like it could rain any moment, and surprises in the mail. I pray that my children always serve as that reminder that life is here today, and ready to be enjoyed. Worrying about tomorrow only makes today not so joyful....and although I know this, I amaze myself at how often I need to be reminded of it. Love this little family of ours so very much, and I think with each year that goes by I am reminded time and again of how important it is to love on these little sprouts while they remain little because it's going fast.
Mom of three super fun and super cool children (Caleb, Grace, Madeline) and wife to one super cool dude - Andrew. Just living life and trying to do the best we can to mold these little sprouts into who God designed them to be. And trying to be "IN" the moments with them rather than looking back and wishing we had spent more time together as a family. And...to be content. Content with where I am in life as a wife and mom. Content with the circumstances God brings into our lives. Life moves by at warp speed, and I want to be present for it. (Jer. 29:11)
