We decided to bake a big, fat chocolate cake yesterday complete with yummy icing goodness. Why did we do it you ask? Well....because it was Wednesday and the girls were dying to bake a cake. Life is too short after all to always say "NO" right? I could have said things like, "We don't need all the sugar", "It's 4:00 and I don't feel like it", and "Maybe this weekend", but I decided to just go with it and not worry about the mess, and homework, and all the other things I was feeling at that moment. So, we all enjoyed a big piece of cake last night for dessert....for no other reason than we wanted it, and it was pretty good if I do say so myself!! And might I add that those little red hearts hanging in the center of my kitchen bring me such joy these days. Don't know why..they just do. There is something about walking into your kitchen and seeing red hearts hanging from the ceiling that have to make you smile.
Mom of three super fun and super cool children (Caleb, Grace, Madeline) and wife to one super cool dude - Andrew. Just living life and trying to do the best we can to mold these little sprouts into who God designed them to be. And trying to be "IN" the moments with them rather than looking back and wishing we had spent more time together as a family. And...to be content. Content with where I am in life as a wife and mom. Content with the circumstances God brings into our lives. Life moves by at warp speed, and I want to be present for it. (Jer. 29:11)
