We finally got to the Christmas Tree Farm yesterday to get our tree! It was a beautiful day and the kids did great hunting for the tree. There were lots to choose from and Caleb and Daddy had the task of cutting it down and dragging it in. Such men!! :) Maddie kept picking up every single branch and wanting to buy it and bring it home, which I was actually ok with since the visit started with tears because I wouldn't let her hang out in the barn with the kittens while we hunted for the tree. She didn't seem to see all the hand saws hanging on the walls everywhere...which I did, hence the tears. But she bounced back once she began her mission of collecting stray branches to have as her own. Grace and I sang, "Going On A Bear Hunt" as we hunted and she spotted our tree from across the field. It was a fun day, which ended in free candy canes, donkeys to feed, and one lost glove. Doesn't get much better than that does it?!?!
Mom of three super fun and super cool children (Caleb, Grace, Madeline) and wife to one super cool dude - Andrew. Just living life and trying to do the best we can to mold these little sprouts into who God designed them to be. And trying to be "IN" the moments with them rather than looking back and wishing we had spent more time together as a family. And...to be content. Content with where I am in life as a wife and mom. Content with the circumstances God brings into our lives. Life moves by at warp speed, and I want to be present for it. (Jer. 29:11)
