Playing catch-up around here this weekend. Seems to be a theme around here. Between finding a place for Buddy the elf to hide each night, baking treats for classes at school, homeschooling Grace, Christmas this and that, and all the other daily tasks around here....I'm officially going under. Spent the last two days in bed sick with a yucky cold, and that is my warning call to sloooow down. Note taken. And this girl is offically doing nothing today. Well, except the new game we have made up around here. "Guess the Animal" that is written on a sticky note and stuck to my homemade headband. Big fun. And I can play from a chair and not have to move except to grab a tissue and blow my Rudolph nose. Ho Ho Ho.One more week until school is out for a little bit. Looking forward to being a little more lazy and hanging out with the munchkins without the deadlines of tests, quizzes, and getting to school on time. Also looking forward to a few things we have planned over the next few weeks to help focus on the reason we are celebrating this wonderful holiday. Really trying to focus on that more as the kids get older. Not that presents and mistletoe aren't wonderful as well.....just trying to create some sort of balance so it doesn't get out of control.
Mom of three super fun and super cool children (Caleb, Grace, Madeline) and wife to one super cool dude - Andrew. Just living life and trying to do the best we can to mold these little sprouts into who God designed them to be. And trying to be "IN" the moments with them rather than looking back and wishing we had spent more time together as a family. And...to be content. Content with where I am in life as a wife and mom. Content with the circumstances God brings into our lives. Life moves by at warp speed, and I want to be present for it. (Jer. 29:11)
